Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) accepts many invitations to speak at conferences. However there are times when it is not possible for a FSANZ staff member to attend an event.
FSANZ will seek to recover costs for speaking at conferences or conventions that are convened by a commercial provider or to provide a benefit to a business.
FSANZ will not usually charge when we provide a speaker for a not-for-profit organisation or a not-for-profit event, although we will reserve the right to charge a fee or seek other compensation such as extra passes for FSANZ staff.
The fees for FSANZ speakers are outlined below:
Chief Executive Officer $3000
Executive staff member $2500
Senior staff member $2000
Other staff $1500
Airfare and accommodation costs
FSANZ will usually book and pay airfares and accommodation (as required) and invoice the conference organiser if costs are to be recovered.
Requests for FSANZ staff to speak at events should be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org
If possible, please include the following information in your email:
- which FSANZ staff member you would like to speak
- proposed date and time
- location (city and venue)
- event subject
- length and type of address
- proposed topic you wish FSANZ to cover
- other invited speakers or confirmed speakers
- expected audience.
Please note the more notice you give us, the more likely it is that we will be able to meet your request. There will be times, e.g. FSANZ Board meetings, when senior executive staff will be unable to attend events.
