FSANZ83 – 16 and 17 September 2020

At its 83rd meeting held via video conference on 16 and 17 September 2020, the FSANZ Board approved five draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

The Board also re-affirmed its decision, subject to amendments FSANZ considered necessary in response to the Forum’s request for a review of this decision, to approve a draft variation to the Code for:

FSANZ82 – 17 June 2020

At its 82nd meeting held via video conference on 17 June 2020, the FSANZ Board approved two draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

The Board also re-affirmed its decision, subject to amendments FSANZ considered necessary in response to the Forum’s request for a review of this decision, to approve a draft variation to the Code for:

Board teleconference – 29 April 2020

Due to the current events with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, for its 29 April Board teleconference, the FSANZ Board trialled holding a meeting via video conference.  During this meeting the Board approved two draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

These decisions have been notified to the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation. The Approval Reports and the Initial Assessment Reports summarising the reasons for these decisions are available on the FSANZ website.

The Board's next meeting will be held via videoconference on 17 June 2020.

FSANZ81 – 4 and 5 March 2020

At its 81st meeting held in Canberra on 4 and 5 March 2020, the FSANZ Board approved two draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

These decisions have been notified to the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation.

FSANZ79 – 11 and 12 September 2019

At its 79th meeting held in Canberra on 11 and 12 September 2019, the FSANZ Board approved three draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code). ​​​

These decisions have been notified to the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation. The Approval Reports and the Initial Assessment Reports summarising the reasons for these decisions are available on our website. 

The Board's next face-to-face meeting will be held in Canberra on 4 and 5 December 2019. 

FSANZ78 – 12 and 13 June 2019

At its 78th meeting held in Wellington, New Zealand on 12 and 13 June 2019, the FSANZ Board approved four draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

These decisions have been notified to the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation. The Approval Reports and the Initial Assessment Reports summarising the reasons for these decisions are available on our website.

During its meeting in Wellington, the FSANZ Board also took the opportunity to meet with a range of industry, consumer, public health and government stakeholders.

The Board's next face-to-face meeting will be held in Canberra on 11 and 12 September 2019.

FSANZ77 – 6 and 7 March 2019

At its 77th meeting held in Sydney on 6 and 7 March 2019, the FSANZ Board approved four draft variations to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).

The Board's next face-to-face meeting will be held in Wellington, New Zealand on 12 and 13 June 2019.

At its Board teleconference held on 7 February 2018, the FSANZ Board approved one draft variation to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code).
