FSANZ is seeking submissions on Application A1302 - Food derived from insect-protected corn line MZIR260. This application seeks approval for the sale and use of food derived from corn line MZIR260, genetically modified for protection from insect pests. A1299 - Fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus oryzae as a processing aid

FSANZ is seeking submissions on Application A1299 - Fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus oryzae as a processing aid. This application seeks to permit fructosyltranserase from Aspergillus oryzae to be used as a processing aid for the production of short-chain fructooligosaccharides (sc-FOS). Submissions are due by 6pm (Canberra time) 05 December 2024 through the Consultation Hub

A1308 - 2′-FL from GM Escherichia coli W in infant formula products

FSANZ is seeking submissions on Application A1308 - 2′-FL from GM Escherichia coli W in infant formula products. This application seeks to amend the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code to permit a new source of 2′-fucosyllactose (2′-FL) for use in infant formula products. Submissions are due by 6pm (Canberra time) 24 December 2024 through the Consultation Hub


 

Call for information

Nutrition Labelling - Health Star Rating and Nutrition Information Panel: FSANZ is progressing work on nutrition labelling to better support consumers to make informed healthy food choices. A review of the nutrition information panel (NIP) and preparatory work to inform future decision-making on mandating the front-of-pack Health Star Rating (HSR) system is underway. FSANZ is calling for stakeholders to provide information and evidence to inform our work by 6pm (AEDT) 17 January 2025 through the Consultation Hub
