Safe Horticulture Australia is a guide to five standards applied to horticulture in Australia. They are:

  • 4.2.6 – Production and processing standard for seed sprouts
  • 4.2.7 – Primary production and processing standard for berries
  • 4.2.8 – Primary production and processing standard for leafy vegetables
  • 4.2.9 – Primary production and processing standard for melons
  • 4.1.1 – Primary production and processing standards – preliminary provisions (general requirements standard that applies to all chapter 4 standards).

The guide is for government agencies and primary production/processing businesses of sprouts, berries, leafy vegetables and melons. It contains information on each requirement in the standards and best practice for managing food safety.
